Heart, spirit and soul meet in Kokoro, local illustrator Toni Yuly’s kawaii creation, shared here by our little look-alike customer, Meryl. Kokoro, reminding us a wee bit of a Japanese kokeshi doll, makes her boutique debut at Momo. You’ll find her (and friends) on blank cards big enough to write your loving message, women’s tees and cute-as-a-button buttons. Right now, Momo is the only place you’ll find Kokoro fun stuff, so come be a fan!
[Kokoro by Toni Yuly cards, $4; tees, $29; buttons, $1 and $2]

Momo boutique in Seattle’s Japantown is a happy ‘hapa shop’ blending Asian and European influences. Come browse men and women’s clothing, modern and vintage home accents and omiyage — the well-presented gift. Where else can you find a mix of Saint James sailor shirts, antique Chinese cabinets, Cop-Copine frocks, local jewelry and adornments created from kimono fabric? And no forget the Spam. Hapa to it!
