Let’s Hang!

After a long hiatus, Kid Robot has resumed production of “Let's Hang” zipper pulls! Collectible, adorable, hilarious. We’re so excited to have them back on our shelves.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with
the “Let's Hang” series, they are (mostly) food-themed blind boxes that contain one zipper pull designed by artist Aaron Meshon. Practical as well as charming, at $4.25 each, they make ingenious party favors for people of all ages. Momo Mama once gave them out as little gifts at her sister’s wedding and made a big hit.

What is a blind box? To put it simply: it’s a box. With a little treasure inside. A secret treasure whose identity won’t be revealed until you open the box! At Momo you can do this fairly risk-free — if you don’t like what you get, you can swap it for the one on display.

Welcome back, cute little zipper pulls!

Check out the variety! Solemn lemon? Check. Chipper steak wearing a porkpie hat?
Of course!

Love Fog Linen

The ‘shibui’ shades of Fog Linen scarves.
Linen. Woven from flax fibers, it’s is one of the oldest textiles in the world. Archaeologists have found cloth fragments dating back to 8000 BC. Dyed flax threads have even been found in a prehistoric cave and are estimated to be over 36,000 years old. Clearly linen is a fabric that is durable as well as beautiful.

And now, lovely Fog Linen Work is available here at Momo. Tokyo-based designer Yumiko Sekine searched the world over, looking for the perfect place to have her linen goods fabricated. Eventually she settled on Lithuania, where linen has been woven and produced since the Middle Ages.

Smooth and cool to the touch, amazingly breathable, low-maintenance (hooray for elegantly wrinkled fabric), linen clothing is perfect for summer. Fog Linen Work creates flowing, easy-to-wear garments that retain a feminine sensibility without being overly fussy. You’ll also find perfect-for-summer scarves it oh-so Japanese shades of pale grey, light blue and handsome charcoal, suitably unisex in color and length.

In Praise of Shorts!

Any man may be in good spirits and good temper when he's wearing shorts.” ~misappropriated Dickens

“Shorts are a bifurcated garment worn by both men and women over their pelvic area, circling the waist, and covering the upper part of the legs.” So says Wikipedia.

We at Momo say: shorts are the greatest article of summertime clothing ever invented! They keep you cool and keep you looking cool. A practical and stylish way to stay naturally air-conditioned.
