Sprucing Up for Spring, Momo-Man Style

Spring has arrived and with it, spring and summer clothing. Hooray! The holiday season decimated our Momo Men clothing selection, so we are especially happy to be receiving more pieces by the day. So, for your perusal, a small taste of what you can currently find in store:

Rodd & Gunn Italian linen shirts are luxurious, durable and perfect for the seasons ahead. Based out of New Zealand, Rodd & Gunn focuses on natural fibers like linen, cotton, wool and leather. We have two colors of their linen button-up shirts: a classic royal blue and yellow plaid and a subtle dusty teal.

Gorgeous soft linen weave.

Dusty grey-green Italian linen by Rodd & Gunn.
The Wolf & Man vest is both stylish and utilitarian. We love the pockets on the back of this piece! Details like this are what elevate an article of clothing to a higher level. Wolf & Man is an independent menswear line based out of Los Angeles. Momo was fortunate to be visited recently by the two young men who started this company. Charming guys who truly believe in their fashion vision.

The Wolf & Man vest has a modern twist on a classic design.
Pockets on the back - brilliant!
Shown layered beneath the Wolf & Man vest is a terrific shirt by Report Collection, a contemporary sportswear company based out of Montreal. Again, details are what make a piece really special. Report Collection shirts always feature playful patterns tucked away on the lining of cuffs and plackets.

Fun floral details make this Report shirt special.

Check back for updates on new arrivals! In the meantime, stay dry and enjoy the random bursts of sunshine.

In Praise of Shorts!

“Any man may be in good spirits and good temper when he's wearing shorts.” ~misappropriated Dickens

“Shorts are a bifurcated garment worn by both men and women over their pelvic area, circling the waist, and covering the upper part of the legs.” So says Wikipedia.

We at Momo say: shorts are the greatest article of summertime clothing ever invented! They keep you cool and keep you looking cool. A practical and stylish way to stay naturally air-conditioned.

Fun, fabulous plaid.
Handsome indigo pinstripes.
Just in from NYC, the “Gibson” short made by W.R.K. clothing. 100% cotton, flat front, available in brown/orange plaid or indigo pinstripes. Fun, summery, comfortable.

The “Fitzroy” cargo short, made by Rodd&Gunn,
has flown across the ocean from New Zealand to provide the Momo Man with relaxed and functional shorts. Pigment-dyed Italian fabric and gusseted pockets ensure that you will look great and have a place to put your wallet, keys and other assorted gear while on a sunny-day outing.

Also in Momo News: grab your Bermudas, your cargos, your cut-offs, your hot pants! Let them inspire you to write a Short Shorts Story on our Facebook page: MomoSeattle Facebook. Craft a short story (eight lines or less) and post it before May 23rd for a chance to win a refreshing bottle of rosé!

Momo for Men

Lest we forget 50% of the population, today’s post will feature our newly-arrived men's clothing. Mr. Momo (aka Tom) has chosen some particularly fantastic pieces to herald in the new season.

Momo has received a terrific collection of merino wool and cashmere sweaters and cardigans by New Zealand clothier Rodd & Gunn. Luxuriously soft and built for both comfort and durability, these are a must-have in any winter wardrobe. Here we have a zippered cardigan paired with a shirt made by Montreal-based Report Collection.

Another new shirt by Report Collection is this dark blue plaid. It's versatile enough to be worn casually or with a tie.
Report Collection is always a classic.

In addition to dapper shirts and sweaters, Momo men have a selection of coats!
First up: a warmup jacket by Bench (layered atop the ever classic Saint James), which features a thin hood rolled and zipped into the collar. Sporty, stylish and functional, all in one sleek package.

Our final Momo Man designer for the day is David Bitton (best known for Buffalo Jeans). Momo has a finely tailored button-up shirt as well as a fitted nylon jacket that has both buttons and a zipper. Notice the smart red detailing on both!

Happy Monday, everyone!
