Rights of Spring

Hello spring style!
At Momo, we don’t pay too much mind to what’s in style, rather, we like to wear what’s our style. That said, there are a few delightful directions this spring, ones we can embrace and integrate easily into our existing closets.

To start, the work-to-weekend wear-over-everything jacket is a favorite. Why? The Floral Goodness coat from Smoking Lily slides into our wardrobe, funning-up our black staples. While the Two Danes engineer striped variation is a great friend to denim, indigo, all our beloved blues. And, they BOTH HAVE POCKETS!

From Me & Arrow comes another versatile, short-sleeve iteration, this one can be buttoned up and worn as a dress. And you guessed it ... (the P-word!) What a great travel piece.

Yes please, long over long.

What to wear under these great garments, aside from what you already own? The shapely Sito Dress from Prairie Underground is a new take on a slip dress, chic worn solo, sleek enough to layer with a crop top. Super comfortable, you can also wear it two ways (come in for a demo)!

For seasonal options to top it off, we love bright white. Yes, we said it: WHITE. As in, Southern California white, tennis white, the color of peace, purity and perfection! White freshens Seattle neutrals, plus, according to one reliable Momo source, it opens one up to spirituality and heaven knows we can all use a little uplifting these days.

White not your thang? We have plenty of other pop-on tops for your perusal. A little easier on the laundry, we promise.

Sweater Weather

Could it be that Fall has finally fully arrived? Clouds are hovering, leaves are turning color and drifting from the trees, and the evenings are decidedly chilly. It’s time to pull out the sweaters.

Exclusive to Momo: Daily Day, from Portugal. Our current crush is the “Sonia” cardigan. The generous fit ensures an extraordinarily elegant drape. Made from a mid-weight wool, it’s the perfect layering piece for transitioning into fall or spring. Plus, it has pockets!

Meet “Sonia” from Porto.

A perennial favorite at Momo is Three Stones. Hailing from Vancouver BC, the designer creates clothing particularly suited to our Pacific Northwest climate. The “Roseta” sweater is a rich marl of burgundy and grey yarns – a nice way to switch things up from the usual Seattle black.
“Roseta” is a hefty knit cotton.
Another brand that is new to Momo is Backdrop. Also from Vancouver, they feature warm and cozy knits, like snuggling up with your favorite blanket. In a range of styles from lightweight wear-to-work cardigans to outer layering pieces, well-made Backdrop sweaters are a good value. Lala went rather gaga over knits this season, so come in and check out the abundance of comfy goodness for this fall.
