Timelessly Chic Saint James

Old-school Saint James!
Saint James clothing was established in Lower Normandy in 1889. Most classically known as the original Breton seaman’s sweater, Saint James’ stripes are now an iconic part of the fashion world, gracing figures around the globe.

100% densely-knit cotton, our genuine Saint James shirts are both stylishly and physically enduring. They’re also perfect for this time of year: an ideal transition piece for those days when the temperature fluctuates dramatically.

We have them on hand in smaller sizes suitable for persons of petite persuasion, or the more generous ‘unisex’ cut. And these striped shirts are incredibly versatile — for women, we suggest dressing them up with pearls and a skirt, or down with a pair of capris. Men can wear them for work to weekend, simply by swapping out khakis for jeans.

Momo has red and white stripes ...
... and blue and white!

Today, sailor stripes may be trendy, but at Momo, we’ve chatted with customers who have owned their Saint James shirts for decades and still love them after all these years. You can recognize a person wearing an authentic Saint James — it speaks without words.

Momo’s Playful Side

Do you love animals? Do you love soft, adorable little French animals wearing soft, adorable little French clothes? Momo certainly does! Let us introduce you to our small fuzzy friends from France, made by Moulin Roty:

From left to right: Nini Mouse, Jeanne Duck, Albert Sheep, Sylvain Bunny and Julius Dog.

French attention to detail: teeny holes for teeny tails to peek out of!

Jeanne and Buddha.

Julius riding a shoulder.

Sylvain’s shoes are too big!

These whimsical and well-dressed creatures are perfectly cute and perfect for the wee ones in your life (or perhaps not-so-wee!). Perhaps as a sweet Easter surprise?

Sylvain Bunny, Julius Dog and Nini Mouse were kind enough to model quirky zipper pouches made by New York copywriter Pamela Barsky. Hand-made in the US from sturdy canvas, these are a fun and functional way to organize your small things, or to package a gift.

Snarky Bunny!

Feed me!

Nini has a sarcastic streak.

Fashionable French Versatility

Akela Key is a French clothing line hailing from Metz, France (located at the tripoint junction of France, Germany and Luxembourg). One of the primary goals of Akela Key is to create affordable, flattering and fashionable clothing for every body type.

This cardigan is a particular favorite of ours — the neutral knit allows for season and color-spanning versatility. In addition ... it can be worn “right side up” or upside down for very different looks.

$109 for all this beauty
Right side up?

Upside down?

A navy blue and ecru cotton tunic makes the spring-to-summer transition nicely. Layer it over sheer sleeves, an extra-long camisole, leggings or skinny jeans.

Freshness for $104

This gauzy, ethereal and deliciously soft cotton and silk tank is generously tailored and adorned with playful leopard print detail. Another perfect piece for layering, it floats around you like a cloud.

Light as a whisper. Shhhh!
So fun for $69
